"Good Vibes Only." We've heard/seen/wore it on an etsy tank top to yoga class before, but do we even understand the importance of positive vibrations in our life? The most important reminder I can share with you all is to acknowledge that everything in our world is energy. Everything surrounding us, the people we meet, the environments we find ourselves in and the information which we absorb has it's own vibrational energy. Some of this energy vibrates with a far higher frequency than others. Ideally, we want our own frequencies to vibrate higher, and therefore match with the surrounding energies among us. Be mindful of the people, information, attitudes and emotions in which you’re ingesting and surrounding yourself with always.
Pay close attention to the vibration of the material you’re reading, scrolling past, listening to and watching. Make an effort to notice how these aspects of your everyday life make you feel during and after you experience it. Information has a serious impact on your vibration, and so much of the information we’re bombarded with constantly, especially over the web and through various platforms of social media is negative. Be sure to counteract those low vibrational frequencies with inspirational, positive and uplifting material.
The fact is the same pure energy that connects our entire universe resides within you. If you can raise the vibrational frequency of that energy, then your life can become happier, more positive, and more fulfilling. I will teach you how to get started.

10 STEPS TO HELP YOU VIBE HIGHER
Practice self love. Your energetic vibrations depend on not only the love you share with others, but the love you give to yourself. Forgive and forget past mistakes you may have made and move on. Learn to trust yourself and the healthy decisions you will make in the future. Become your own best friend and love yourself like no other.
Educate yourself, always. The time you spend engaging your mind through travel, books, study, art and discoveries or experiences raises your own vibrations substantially. Take time every single day to learn something that interests you and impacts your life in some small way.
Visualize who you want to become. Visualize the life you aspire to create for yourself (and those around you) and then take responsibility to become proactive and productive. Use affirmations and mantras to ensure that your thoughts and mindset are brining you closer to your ideal self.
Bypass the need for perfection in your life. This idea is solely a perception in your mind that you are flawed. The path to a higher frequency is so far from smoothly paved. You will encounter obstacles and miss spiritual signs along the way. Know that you are perfectly imperfect.
Keep a daily gratitude dairy to remind you to be grateful. I cannot stress this one enough! A journal, a post-it pad on your desk, an app on your iPhone or even a scrap of paper by you bed. Write down (yes physically write) 5-10 things every single day that you are grateful for. No matter how small or large.
Meditate or practice pranayama (yogi breathing exercises) to clear your mind space. 10 minutes a day is a wonderful start. Download the app "headspace" for free on your smart phone if you have absolutely no idea where to begin. Go do it right now. I'll wait.
Avoid gossip and negativity. This will allow more space to be cleared for positive, loving and high vibrational thinking. This step is the hardest for me personally.
Eat plant foods that were grown from the earth and are fresh or locally sourced. When you choose to ingest fresh whole foods and plenty of water, you’re not only giving your body the nutrients it needs, but you’re effectively helping your body to flush out harmful chemicals and toxins. When you consume the flesh of another tortured being, (i.e. cows, chickens, fish, sheep or ducks) you're consuming the dead energy that now lies within their physical body. You're also consuming the harmful, negative energy which was transfered over through their physical being from the person who killed them. When you eat foods that are living (plants) and which were intended to be consumed for adequate health, you are raising your vibration. Drink plenty of water, eat healthy, and avoid frozen, processed, sweetened, and chemically altered foods to increase your vibration. Vibrationally speaking, you are what you eat… Be aware of what you’re feeding your body, and choose healthy, high vibrational meals and snacks.
Accept the interconnection you have with the universe. Acknowledge that you are a very tiny part of a very large greater being. Everything around us exists as one larger consciousness that supports our lives. Know that you are a divine part of this massive cosmic energy. With everything you take from this world, give something back. The cycle of our Iives is only sustainable if we practice giving without expectations.
Lastly, know that your proximity to positive people will enhance your life tremendously. Your proximity to these people is so powerful. As a close friend recently reminded me, "You are the average sum of the five people you are around the most." Make sure those five people are positive and inspiring.
