By showing hunger, deprivation, starvation and brutality, as well as endurance and nobility, documentaries inform, prod our memories, even stir us to action. Such films do battle for our very soul.

DOCUMENTARIES

These films will change your life. Some may not be the most upbeat, appealing or interesting video you've watched in a while, but they will undoubtly influence your life in remarkable ways. Take the next rainy afternoon plopped on the couch, or Friday evening spent at home, and use it as an opportunity to see for yourself why these films have opened my eyes and mind immensely. These films are all either available for free online, or on Netflix (which I'm sure most of us have) so lets be honest - No excuses.

I like documentaries because there’s nothing to nitpick or criticize about scenes if they aren’t just right. It’s about honesty and real-life circumstances coming out. Granted it can be swayed by how people tell that story, but overall, I like it because it is true.
